JOHN FUNK

John Funk is an independent feature film and television content director, writer, and producer operating through his production company, John Funk Productions, based in Hollywood, California. His slate includes feature film and television projects, scripted and unscripted, of all genres.

Mr. Funk is the protege of the late

Chuck Fries, "Godfather of the Television

Movie," so called, because he was the first

to adapt a movie for television, earning him

a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 

​

He coordinated logistics on pictures that have grossed over one billion dollars at the box office, including A STAR IS BORN, WE'RE THE MILLERS, and PATIENT ZERO, and began his career as a PA for Tom Cruise at United Artists. 

​

Mr. Funk is currently in post production on ROSES ON THE VINE, an indie drama feature film, from an original, award winning screenplay, he shot during the summer of 2023.

He’s a member of the Visual Effects Society, Film Independent, was an Administrator at The Los Angeles Film School, and has a Bachelors of Arts in Film and Media Arts from Temple University.
